This is a better version of my game of life movie. I added more interesting content, made more descriptive text, and fixed some errors.
by : neotropic9 Time: 04:47 Views: 23051 Ratings: 187 Category: EducationComments :First, it doesn’t matter what your religion is. Second, it certainly is because the limits of functions from this “turing machine” have not yet been reached. Third, the complexities of life in our world are based on initial conditions too.Technically it could given a large enough space, however that is a poor analogy for evolution because evolution is guided by requirements for the environment (ie. it suits the problems provided). Here, you have no requirement for Windows inside the game of life -- there is no benefit to it. So yes, it could create it, but there is no environmental pressure to create it.I’m not sure why you used that example, because it doesn’t apply to evolution either.
What song is this its awesome!Actually, the prime number tests today are probabilistic, not trial and error. The probability of the test going wrong is lesser than the chance of a hardware error, so it’s OK.And in any case, even checking every number lesser than the number which is being tested would be more effective or as effective as simulating this configuration. Notice how it takes the same amount of time to test every number, and so the gap between two prime numbers would keep increasing.
I can go on but word limi-
what software are you using to run these simulations/I feel but brainwashed but Oh lord do I believe? Who’s my next leader? I want it all, the books, the rules, the opression. Give it to me science, I love you!Whoa! Couldn’t you make a program that measures the distance between the prime-number spaceships (or just uses the game as an algorithm) to find the next prime number? It would be MUCH faster than the trial-and-error testing that computers do in order to find huge prime numbers.Where can you play this game!???SOMEONE ANSWER PLZZZ!!
@Rob Gatzketechnically, Life could “spit out a Windows program,” although you’d probably need some help reading it.
Life is turing-complete.
@RobGatzkeSo, if I write something in a book, it must be so.
I once read in a book that you are, in fact, a duck. Is this true?
@RobGatzkeNo. The game is actually rather limited in what it can produce. Like the video states, it is based on an incredibly simple rule set which is not at all like life. The patterns it does produce, however, show that simple math can create something truly complex.
Oh dear.“I don’t completely disagree with evolution -- I just think that if it IS so, that we don’t come from apes”If it IS so, we necessarily are descendants of apes. The evidence is all the same -- you can’t deny bits you don’t like.
“and that evolution is God’s doing.”
I suppose I can’t really argue against this, but “God” is entirely superfluous. If he did have a hand in anything he did a rather good job of producing precisely what we’d expect of natural processes.
“in no way does it convince me of natural selection.”Sorry? The deer without legs is going to get eaten, bro. The deer with faster legs will much more likely survive. You can’t “deny” a process that is inherently bound to happen.
haha i like that actually…though i think many evolutionists would be okay with accepting the idea of a creator of the prime laws which govern our universe.Although I’m an atheist, this is no demonstration of complexity coming from basic rules. All of the complexities are based on the initial conditions (the setting of which grids are alive). So technically this game could, in theory, evolve so much that it could spit out a Windows program complete with user interface and color theme? -- Just based on what simple instructions it’s been given?I believe that we aren’t allowed to possess such knowledge or understanding of such a concept as “where did God come from”. Much like a game of life program has restrictions on what it can and can’t do. It only knows what it’s been told and can’t think outside that box..All that means is you don’t understand the program. We did not tell the program to generate prime-spaced shapes -- that was EMERGENT behavior from the SURVIVAL of cells. Just like Gliders. The game wasn’t designed to produce gliders, they are emergent (unexpected). To be honest with you, I’m completely fascinated by this program and others like it, but in no way does it convince me of the existence of Belgium..But we DO have evidence of a Creator -- it’s all written in a book. I don’t completely disagree with evolution -- I just think that if it IS so, that we don’t come from apes and that evolution is God’s doing. He created life, gave it instructions and then said “go”..Why do the rules and life have to be created? Why can’t they exist? The issue with this argument is that you are suggesting that a creator created the initial rules for the systems of the real universe. What then created that creator? The obvious answer is that the creator always existed.
If, then, the creator is allowed to always have existed, why, then, shouldn’t the observable rules be given that same allowance to have existed forever, and even more credence than the idea of a creator?
Hahahaha. Comparing a program created by a ACTUAL physical person to the belief that life was created by a magical being, the existence for which we have no evidence. I really hope you’re joking. To be honest with you, I’m completely fascinated by this program and others like it, but in no way does it convince me of natural selection. The program is just doing what it’s told…Actually… If you think about this program -- It was CREATED by someone and then given a SET OF RULES… Kind of like how life was created and then given a set of rules. Dontcha think? -

This is a video about snap caps and speed loaders…
by : cutlerylover Time: 08:00 Views: 21935 Ratings: 175 Category: EducationComments :its called a clipdraw, its a product you cna buy for like $20…I use a holster these days…how did you put the clip for carrying your glock around on your glockPracticing unloaded will familiarize you with your trigger much better than firing live ammo. You can focus on how steady you keep your sights, while recoil will distract you from what you are doing wrong. The snap caps are reusable.jeff not joe not to be mean but ya jeff not joejoe i hear what your sayin it is outragus but being 14 and havin to go through gun saftey hase taught me stuff most ppl dont no cus addults dont have to do it but the rounds ar so you can familerrise yourself with your gun and it helps alot its also fun =] i used them when i got my shotgun to practis loading and un loadingit is what it is, for practice at home Ill go with plasticic rounds, lol…but som e guys who reload just take an old shell insert a new bullet and drill a hole in the case, that way yoiu have a real size and weight of a round you cna pratcue with but wont confuse for live rounds..I think Snap Caps are expensive.
$15 for five fake rounds made of plastic?!
For the same price you can have a full box of 50 FMJ rounds.do they make sound the first time?meanr NJ and NYNJ and NJ?I know from a book made in 2009 about gunh laws across the 50 states…but you cna go to pretty much any site that sells gun magazines like impactguns or try glockpartrs, when looking at the high cap magazines they will list what states have what restrictions…as far as I know off the bat NJ and NJ limit you to 10 rounds…Hey Jeff.
From which websites did you search that maximum capacity in a glock isn’t allowed in some states or not?Did you ever think about getting a tactical flashlight for your glock?thats a 10 round mag, not the normal 17 rounders, I got the 10 ropuynd mags from the previous owner who lived in NY and they have a limit fo 10 roun ds in handguns there…is that magazine double stacked? because i shot a glock 17 which has holes in the back of the mag (the ones that show how many bullets are in it) and they were staggered on both sides. your holes are only on the right sidewell snap caps are a waste of time and my .12 gauge requires a dry fire after use to take the tension off the trigger spring if you don’t dry fire you will damage the gun any waySnap caps are for training purposes. It allows the user to become aware and what to do with a round that does not fire and to use the tap, rack, and fire motion.what I meant was I like the load the gun as I normaly would and pratcice my trigger pull, I know the cap has nothgin to do withb how it feels or functions, but I carry israeli style so I have to draw my gun, rack the slide then shoot, so I practcie this alot with my snap caps, without them I woudl ahve to do this with no magazine in and its not as authentic to me…also for 22’s Im talking about pistols, since 22’s are rimfire rounds, dry firing can wear them down or effect how they work…The snap cap inserted into the gun does not affect trigger pull.I cannot speak of all .22s, but Ruger actually says you CAN dry fire the 10/22 right in the manual.
most guns cna be dry fired without problem many even require it for dissasembly, BUT most 22 guns can and will be effected if you dry fire extensivly…I use these for a realistic way to pratice trigger pull and different drils in my home when not at the range..Snap caps are a complete waste of time and money.Dry firing a gun does not damage a firing pin.
About the only use is for training for someone what to do when a round does not fire.
Tec-9’s, Mac-10’s, Mac-11’s are just some of the things that are considered handguns, all of which have 30 round magazines available.Otherwise, there are AK pistols, AR pistols..etc.. that are considered handguns…
thats not 100% true the New Zealand SAS carry 8 30round mags and about 250-300 rounds of loose ammo.Im not shooting live round, a live round woudl cycle the slide as well as reset the trigger…how come when you shoot, its only single action? -
